CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Detectives at the Law Enforcement Center said a counterfeiting case in Charlotte is unusual because of how many people are involved and how many counterfeit checks they've uncovered.
A 34-year-old California resident who passed counterfeit checks in Helena, Missoula, Great Falls and Butte was sentenced Thursday to eight months in prison by Senior U.S. District Judge Charles C.
