According to the National Weather Service, a snow squall is a brief but intense burst of snowfall that can cause sudden whiteout conditions, rapidly falling temperatures and icy roads within minutes.
A snow squall warning is in place for Prescott-Russell, the Brockville, Cornwall and Maniwaki areas. This means it could see heavy blasts of snow that pile up quickly and seriously affect visibility.
