An unforgettable encounter with a juvenile fin whale cruising Baja’s waters. Having this kind of encounter is as difficult as finding a small shell floating in the middle of the open ocean. Fin whales usually stay offshore and don’t hang around for long, which already makes sightings uncommon. Seeing a juvenile swim so clearly and calmly at the surface is even rarer.
