RADAR UPDATE 4.20 AM 22/6/19 Radar imagery from Weatherzone is showing some very nice lightning active cells near Rottnest and Dunsborough. These cells contain heavy rain and thunderstorms and are moving in a south easterly direction towards the coast These prefrontal showers will be heavy at times up until sunrise then drop off slightly before picking up and becoming heavy rain by around 3 pm for Mandurah and 5 pm onwards for Perth and 7pm onwards for the northern suburbs Weatherzone is forecas

Thunderstorms now developing due to a low pressure and trough forming over the coastal area and inland Pilbara these should extend down the coast this week bringing thunderstorms and rain to Perth and surrounding areas | Perth Weather Live

Radar Update 4.40am Well weren't those storms something.. Along with the lightning we got some nice rainfall to start the month Bullsbrook with 30mm and bickley with 15mm Perth got 6mm The cell will continue to travel south through the metro and should clear by mid morning But from lunch time onwards the chance of storms increases and we may just see another light show. Please drive carefully on the roads today as they are wet and many people didn't get enough sleep. | Perth Weather Live
